Judge Carolyn Henwood CNZM - Chair

Current positions include Chair of the Confidential Listening and Assistance Service, acting warrant as a District Court Judge, Convenor to the New Zealand Parole Board, Board member on the extended Parole Board, Chair of the Henwood Trust, Government appointee as Special Advisor to Te Hurihanga programme, member of the International Women's Judges Association, Deputy Chair of Toi Whakari New Zealand Drama School, Chair of Queen Margaret College Foundation, founding and current member of Circa Theatre, founding member and current Board member of the Theatre Artists Charitable Trust.

Judge Henwood spent 22 years as a Youth Court Judge and was the first woman appointed as District Court Judge in the Wellington region. She has also been involved in international youth justice issues through attending, presenting at and convening conferences, and international study.

Peter Johnston - Trustee

Peter Johnston is Chair of Partners at Rainey Collins, and heads the Personal Legal Services, Property, Business and Maori Legal Issues teams.

Of Ngati Porou descent Peter is Chair of the NZ Riding for the Disabled Association Perpetual Members Trust,  an external Specialist Advisor to the Ministry of Justice and a former Chairman of Te Awe Maori Business Network.  As Chairman of Te Awe he oversaw the establishment of a young champions mentoring programme for year 11 to 13 Maori students living in the Wellington region.

Dai Henwood - Trustee

Comedian, 7 Days TV3. Appointed to the Henwood Trust in 2014, Dai comes with a strong connection to a broad cross section of New Zealand. He is passionate about the health and wellbeing of children and young people. He is a father of a young child and has a strong sense of justice. Dai has supported the work of the Henwood Trust for over a decade.

Jennifer George - Development Director

Jennifer is a lawyer with qualifications and experience also in teaching, education management and business management. She has wide ranging experience in government, local government, in business and with non-government organisations.

Liza Karsanidis - Administrator

Liza works part time with the Trust managing all administrative duties.
